I have always been inspired by color, fashion, beauty and art and I have loved the ability to create the fusion of these three areas. That’s what I see in my artistry.
I began my career as a makeup artist over 16 years ago – self taught, but with an eye for color coordination. I furthered my knowledge by attending makeup courses in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and received my license from Bennett Career Institute, under the instruction of celebrity makeup artist, Kym Lee. I continued my education under the instruction of several well-known artists, such as Sam Fine, Reggie Wells, AJ Crimson, Valentino Frazier, Derrick Rutledge, to name a few.
Since then, I have expanded my knowledge in makeup artistry by attending courses at Temptu in New York City for airbrush application and I have been creating art by airbrush for HD films and photoshoots locally and abroad.
My artistry has been submitted in several well-known magazines, such as Jet, Black Hair and Sophisticates and quite a few local magazines. I also have extensive experience in bridal, runway and film and aspire to continue my creativity in these areas.
